Personal Statement
Kate Villegas is a senior at Ripon High School. She holds the role of ASB Vice President within Student Government & Leadership. She is responsible for assisting the ASB president, being a mentor to the class commissioners, and for organizing events at Ripon High. Kate has heavy involvement in Ripon High’s Science Olympiad Club, Multicultural Club, Link Crew Welcoming Committee, and Yoga/Pilates Club. She is apart of the Pride Tribe, California Scholarship Federation, and Block R clubs as well. She runs cross country in the fall season and track & field in the spring season. Kate also enjoys spending her time volunteering at Memorial Medical Center every week. She is the Secretary of the 501(c) non-profit One Mask At a Time outside of school as well, where her and a group of college students have donated over 1,630 masks to underserved community members in the Central Valley. This year Kate is looking to focus on all things that make her happy. Balance, love, and health will be priorities for her. Kate plans on attending a four year college after high school, majoring in Human Development or Public Health and minoring in Spanish, Nutrition, or Public Health. She hopes to study abroad for a year during her undergraduate studies. Kate then plans to attend to Physician Assistant school and specialize further in dermatology. ASB Leadership has been a very important part of Kate's life for the past three years of high school, as it has taught her lessons that will carry her throughout her entire life.
